About This Item

When looking to rent our own event space, we realized a need for an affordable and flexible booking option in our neighborhood. Whether you want a private space to meet with clients, plan a group meeting, host a birthday party or shower, or even hold a small camp or workshop, The Swell Shop Studio is a great "blank space" to fit your needs. Our 650 square foot open space features 2 large north facing windows, white walls, light colored wood floors, and some white shelving on some of the walls for use during shoots or events. Our accompanying back space has a refrigerator,  prep and storage area and bathroom. This area is hidden from view and the only "shared" access space used by our production studio for entry to the back of the shop.

How does our event space work?

We must strictly enforce the time slots so no one infringes on the next event coming in. You need to set up, host and clean up from your event during the time slot you select. You may book in 30 minute increments. Saturday before 5:00 PM is a 2 hour minimum. After 5:00 on Saturday we require a 3 hour minimum.  Sunday is the same as weekday. We book 6 am - 11:30 pm every day of the week. No overnight hours.

During certain hours of the week, we do not allow loud music, more lively parties such as kids parties and events that generate noise due to yoga classes at our neighbor's studio nextdoor. Please note these hours below. Only small and intimate gatherings or photo shoots can be hosted in the studio during the specified time slots. 

Quiet Gatherings Only During These Hours:

M-F 7 am - 10 am, Saturday 9-10 am, Sunday 10-11:30 am and between 4-5:30 pm.


What's Included?

  • Our open 650 sq ft. white wall studio has a set of shopfront windows that provide natural light in the front. They are Northern facing. LIght gray wood grained floors.
  • All white shelves on some walls (perfect for photoshoots, displays, decor)
  • Our back space of approx 150 sq ft includes a refrigerator, rest room with changing table and work table.
  • Easy front ground level load in.
  • Expandable cream painted wooden dining "estate" style table (seats 6-8)
  • White wicker chair and cushion (optional)
  • Black easel to display welcome sign, etc.
  • Bench out front can be used for photos inside or out
  • 8 white ikea square side tables (perfect for toddler crafts and photoshoots)
  • Box of puzzles/toys + a few ride on toys

We also have items for rent listed below.  They would need to be returned to their original place at the end of your rental.  To add to your rental, click on this link and add to your cart.:

  • 4 6-foot adjustable height folding tables - They can be adjusted down for children - $10 each 
  • White adult sized folding chairs -  $2 each
  • Childrens stools - $1.00 each

To Book A Space:

We require a refundable $50 deposit before booking. You can pay for this deposit here: . We will refund your deposit within 24-48 hours as long as the space is left damage free and clean. Once you add your deposit to the cart, you can also select your time frame using the calendar to the right on the page. You will need to add each 30 minute increment of time to the cart as an individual item. For any help booking a space, email We reserve the right to approve the use of the studio based on the event. Once your space request is made and paid  through our website, we will reach out to learn more about your event and provide instructions.

Booking through our website is not a guarantee but we will refund your request ASAP if there is a concern or conflict. Feel free to reach out to us in advance if the use of the space is unique.

Cancellation for a full refund is available up to 7 days before the event on weekends and 48 hours on weekdays. If you are interested in booking fixed studio or office hours in our studio for client meetings, shoots, or workshops, please email us for more information on how to book.

We will send you our FAVORITES list of cake bakers, custom cookie designers, floral designers, caterers, and party entertainers when you book. We will not handle the details of your events but we are happy to share vendors we trust for the perfect event.

If this product is in stock & doesn't require personalization, we strive to ship within 5 business days via USPS First Class mail.

However, we cannot guarantee delivery time once they are picked up by our mail carriers, as we do not control package deliveries once they are no longer in our hands.
